About the competition
The Building Services World Cup is a prestigious annual international Football tournament for Building Services Engineering & Built Environment professionals.
Engineering Sport Ltd has been set up to manage the event with the help of Liverpool City Council, Liverpool County FA, CIBSE and all other partners.
The tournament is registered with the English Football Association.
The 2011 competition will be held in Liverpool, UK, on Saturday 11th June 2011.
All group 1st round matches will commence at 10am and 10.45am. At the moment the CIBSE Trophy Final is scheduled to kick off at 4.30pm
Teams registration ends on the 31st May 2011 or once the maximum team tournament team numbers has been reached.
There will be a tournament draw and details will be announced shortly.
Competition matches will take place at the Liverpool University Mather Avenue Site. All games will be 7 aside. It is anticipated that game duration will be 30 minutes over two halves. All matches to be played on Saturday 11th June 2011.
The competition will be promoted across all REHVA/ASHRAE regions.
The competition is ‘Inclusive’ and open to all associated industry businesses and employees.
The competitions vision is to raise the profile of engineering, to celebrate our industry achievements through sport and 1st class sporting facilities, create a worldwide networking opportunity, develop team building and leadership development and generate industry marketing opportunities.
The tournament will support The Everyman Campaign. Profits from the event will be donated to Everyman.
Tournament Awards;
CIBSE Trophy.
Awarded to the 2011 Building Services Engineering World Cup Winners.
Fair play award.
The tournament ‘Fair Play’ Award is given to the team with the best record of fair play according to a points system and criteria established by the FIFA Committee for Fair Play and Social Responsibility.
‘Golden Boot’ award.
The Golden Boot award is given to the player who scores the most goals in tournament.
‘Manager’ of the Tournament award.
Awarded to the team manager at the discretion of the sponsor, who demonstrates outstanding team success.
Goal Keeper of the Tournament award
Awarded to the event's outstanding Goalie.
