Testimonials from the 2009 tournament
The weekend was a big success. The organisation and facilities were excellent for the football and the Charity evening. I attended all day Saturday, for the presentations on Sunday and of course the Charity evening (to which we invited some guests). Everyone I spoke to had a good time and were very enthusiastic about competing next year. I know Andy is very keen that this only the start of the event and it will be bigger next year. From the second our team turned up on Saturday morning to when we left on Sunday afternoon we were made to feel more than welcome and every one involved had an absolutely brilliant time. The organisation of everything was spot on - especially the 'Manager of the Tournament Award', which whilst dubious to some, i personally feel was well deserved? I'm sure you sat down last night content that everything you hope to achieved from the event was achieved and some! We look forward to next year, with a view to going one step further in the tournament and putting more trophies in the Flakt Woods cabinet. Once again thanks to you and your team for everything. Andy Window, Flakt Woods.
Recently Couch Perry & Wilkes LLP entered the 2009 Building Services World Cup Tournament, we were surprised by the high standard of footballing ability and this extremely well organised competition proved to be an event that our company wishes to participate on a regular basis. The entire weekend was enjoyable whilst being competitive and sociable offering a unique opportunity to meet fellow engineers within the industry in a sporting environment where everyone shared a common passion for football. We would like to acknowledge Andy Sneyd’s efforts not only for organising a unique tournament, but also the extremely charitable donation that was raised by probably beg, borrowing and stealing certain football memorabilia from the length and breadth of the country.

A brilliant weekend of football. If there were any hiccups in this inaugural Building Services World Cup competition we certainly missed them. Very well organised, excellent facilities and referees. The pain in losing in the final to penalties has almost disappeared and plans to go one better next year already in the making. We would like to say a big thank you to Andy and to all our colleagues in the industry that entered and we hope to see you again next year.
